Two Americans in Paris

McDonald's are almost as prevalent in Paris as they are in Chicago. So are Burger King's, Subway, and KFC. My husband thought it would be fun to enjoy some cheeseburgers from a McDonald's in Paris...I was not as enthusiastic.

We were both excited to come across Yves Rocher and enjoy some of those little hazelnut chocolates...you know, from the chocolatier....oh, you mean there's no chocolates here....you're a bath and body products store. We were thinking of Ferrero Rocher! Doh! We could not have been more ridiculously American in that moment but it gave us a good laugh. And I bought some lovely shower gel as a souvenir.

Post-embarrassing shopping experience

To top off our American experience in Paris, we visited a breakfast place called Breakfast in America. It's a diner established to represent a typical American diner and it most certainly fit the bill. From the diner decorations to the laminated menus with cheeseburgers and nachos on it.
